First of all, Wikipedia is not a reliable source.

But since you added the first 16 bit console, you should have mentioned the first 32 bit console. The "Amiga CD32". Which also happened to be the first console that had full screen full frame rate video via an add on MPEG card. It could run full VCD movie titles long before standard home computers were capable of the same performance. Also notable, it was the first console that could be upgraded to a full current computer system with all IO, keyboard, mouse, floppy drive and even HDD.

RE: One-on-one fighting games. Didn't Karate Champ come first? I'm no expert, but Wikipedia does list Karate Champ as 1984 and you have Yie Ar Kung-Fu as 1985. If I'm correct, I'd like to be rewarded with a FULL POINT!

Will - Apparently, according to Wikipedia, Disruptor came out in 1997 (in Japan) as well, in fact, just AFTER GldenEye. So, make of it what you will. I'll stick with the info I was given, but thanks for the comment none the less!!

I'm almost certain that the final entry is incorrect. I know of at least one single-console exclusive first-person shooter that was released before Goldeneye - Disruptor in 1996 for the PlayStation, by Insomniac.

MK2 has a level (Khan's Arena I think is the name) that looks almost exactly like the one they show for Yie Ar Kung-Fu, except for the fact that Shao-Khan is sitting on his thrown and Kano and and Sonya are chained up...and it's a bit updated for the powerful processor of the sega genesis
