October is our favorite month of the year for one main reason, Sports. Think about it, all four of the major sports are in action in October, something that can’t be said about any other month. Football is in full swing, the Hockey and Basketball seasons start, and Baseball is in the playoffs. Unfortunately our social and travel schedules are in full gear during October too, so we’re not always in front of the television to watch all of those awesome games.
We’ve found a solution for that problem though, because for the past month we’ve been testing out the Slingbox 500, which allows us to take lives sports with us wherever we go. We can watch the games on our smartphone or tablet via an internet connection. Sure you can get streaming subscriptions from the major sports leagues, but you’d have to subscribe to each league individually, and renew every year. With Slingbox you can watch all of the games you can get on your home television, plus any additional programming you may care to watch, and there is no subscription to pay.
So whether we’re stuck at the office, taking the kids to football practice, or traveling for business, we don’t have to miss a single minute of the action thanks to Slingbox, and we haven’t. We watched all 14 innings of Game One in Kansas City! Slingbox is a unique technology that lets you watch your home TV anywhere in the world, on any device. That means you get all your live cable or satellite TV channels and recorded shows on your phone, tablet, or laptop. Slingbox has superior video and audio quality through the Internet or your cellular network and is the only technology that delivers the true TV experience you deserve. But the Slingbox 500 does even more, check out this video for more features :
Slingbox is a lifesaver, but we haven’t even mentioned our favorite way to use it. If you’re like us, you probably have multiple televisions and tuners in your household. However you can’t watch them all at once, until now. With the magic of Slingbox, we’re able to stream the signal from other rooms to devices that we have with us while watching our main television. No longer do we need to choose which game we want to watch, we can watch them all live. Just last night we watched playoff baseball with a side of hockey and basketball.
Slingbox500 is available at Slingbox.com and at BestBuy for $299.
